The Facts:
One of the players the Texans don't want to see hurt is new quarterback Matt Schaub. But that's exactly what happened Wednesday, however, when defensive end Jason Babin beat tackle Eric Winston and wasn't able to put the brakes on fast enough to avoid hitting Schaub. The QB had his knee X-rayed after practice, but it's just bruised.

"He and Babin just ran into each other," HC Gary Kubiak explained. "I think Matt was so tired, he couldn't get out of the way, but he's OK. ..." As the Chronicle reports suggests, Schaub is certainly a player who needs to get as many reps as possible with his new teammates. Sounds like this injury won't be an issue going forward, but we'll continue to monitor his status and update further as necessary.
