The Facts:
The Vikings report that Peterson suffered a left hip pointer and the rookie RB is day-to-day. Apparently the injury is not as serious as it first appeared but it seems unlikely Peterson will participate in the Friday or Saturday practices against Kansas City. RB Chester Taylor (bruised forearm) also seems likely to miss the event.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Medical officials originally seemed to be looking at Peterson's left ankle when he was first hurt, but Peterson said the injury occurred when he was elbowed in the hip area during a pass reception. "It's really not as serious as I thought," Peterson said. "It was kind of painful at first, but I shook it off. It's not that big of a deal. ..." We'll see. More if/when developments warrant.
