The Facts:
Parker, who led all Chargers wide receivers in receptions and yards last year, will be out of action for up to 10 weeks after undergoing an operation on his toe Friday morning. "He went up to Seattle and saw a specialist," HC Norv Turner said. "They felt the best thing for him was to do the surgery. We just hope the procedure went well so we can get him back as soon as possible."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
While Parker's physical ability and his presence will be missed, Turner promised to press on with the younger receivers on his roster. Friday afternoon's practice saw several young receivers taking more reps than usual do to the fact that Parker, Vincent Jackson (lower leg), Craig Davis (knee) and Kassim Osgood (hamstring) were all sidelined. ... Fortunately, Jackson, Davis and Osgood are day-to-day; Parker's extended absence has to be good news for Davis.
