The Facts:
Looking more like a relaxed veteran than a second-year player getting his first shot at a franchise position, Croyle worked with the first-team offense in Friday night's joint workout with the Vikings and routinely hit most of the relatively short, safe passes that now are the staple of the Chiefs more conservative offense. Croyle hit 17 of 19 passes in seven-on-seven, gold zone offense and team drills.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Capital Journal staffer Rick Dean, few of Croyle's passes traversed more than 12 yards of field position, but none ended up in Vikings hands and he was sacked only once. That's pretty much what HC Herm Edwards is asking of whomever ends up quarterbacking the Chiefs this year. ... For what it's worth, Damon Huard didn't fare as well as Croyle Friday night, thanks in part to working with the second-teamers.
