Raiders HC Lane Kiffin is resting in a Napa-area hospital with a viral infection, a Raiders spokesman said.

Public relations director Mike Taylor said Kiffin has been feeling ill for "a couple of days" and was taken to the hospital Monday for observation. He said it was unclear who would take charge of Monday's practice session. Kiffin was scheduled to speak with reporters Sunday night by conference call. The conference was canceled when Taylor said Kiffin was "under the weather." The Raiders announced Saturday night they were altering their practice schedule and having a single practice Monday rather than a double session. The current schedule calls for Tuesday to be a double session. ... We'll have more as further details are released.
