The Facts:
He works behind arguably the best offensive line in football, he's in great shape, he's coming off a year in which he stayed completely healthy and there's little he hasn't seen from opposing defenses. So the way Green and the Packers look at it, why not talk about a 2,000-yard season.

Bob Harris' View:
The idea of Green achieving 2000 yards is not far fetched. Last year he was only 117 yards off the mark. This year, Green is entering the prime of his career at the age of 27. His offensive line is considered to be one of the best in the league if not the best. Green Bay's entire corps of offensive weapons will be returning including QB Brett Favre, TE Bubba Franks, and WRs Donald Driver, Robert Ferguson, and Javon Walker. "He can definitely do it," said left guard Mike Wahle. "He has the talent to do it. It's a matter of getting the plays called and getting in the right situations. We're going to get him yards. I'm not worried about that." I look at it this way, even if Green doesn't reach 2000 yards -- chances are he won't -- he should be very close to it, which easily makes him a top 5 RB in my book. Plus, the fact that the team is talking about making an effort so Green can become a 2,000-yard rusher is a very nice bonus.
