Shockley will miss the rest of the season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and injuring the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in Friday's pre-season game against Buffalo, a person close to Shockley with knowledge of the injury said.

They Falcons have held trade talks with Philadelphia about veteran Kelly Holcomb but nothing had developed as of Sunday.
