More Details: No LisFranc For Donald Driver?
(8/24 9:10 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on an ongoing item. ... HC Mike McCarthy was given a brief medical report from team doctor Patrick McKenzie before addressing reporters. He was asked whether Driver had suffered a Lisfranc injury, the dreaded condition that sidelined Robert Ferguson for the season in 2006. "Pat didn't seem that it was that (extensive) as far as the location on the foot," McCarthy said. "He just told me it was a foot sprain. (Driver) is in good spirits. I don't have a diagnosis as far as weeks." Reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel suggested, Driver, probably the team's best player the last two seasons, would be a catastrophic loss if the injury is long term. He probably would be replaced in the lineup by rookie James Jones. ... Stay tuned. More to come as developments warrant and details are released.
