Bucs Confident David Boston Will Be Cleared
(8/25 3:39 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on the previous item. ... The Bucs conducted their own investigation into the incident involving Boston and are confident he is innocent of the charges levied against him. As a result, he is expected to play tonight and will likely continue to work towards making the 53-man roster. "We have investigated the David Boston situation and feel that we have an understanding of the facts," GM Bruce Allen said in a statement. "At this time, we have seen no objective evidence to support the charges that were brought against him." Reported by the Tampa Tribune

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Boston -- found sleeping behind the wheel of his running car -- was arrested early Thursday. He passed a breathalyzer test and was run through a battery of field sobriety tests, but law enforcement officials suspected he was under the influence of "something" and had him take a urine test before releasing him on his own recognizance. The results of the urine test are not expected to be known for a couple days. The Bucs appear confident the results will be negative. If they are, there's a good chance Boston becomes part of the 2007 Bucs.
