Gramatica suffered a strained right hamstring on his first-half kickoff in last night's game against the Texans. He said he might need an MRI exam but will decide today. Reported by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram

The injury is a setback in Gramatica's battle to beat out rookie sixth-round draft pick Nick Folk. Gramatica missed a second-quarter extra point and had a short kickoff after the Cowboys' opening touchdown. Gramatica had not missed an extra point in the preseason and has missed only two in his eight-year NFL career. Folk made his only extra-point attempt in the third quarter. He also made a 23-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Gramatica did not attempt a field goal.
