HC Lane Kiffin conceded the obvious following practice regarding Bush. He'll open the season on injured reserve or the physically unable to perform list. "There's a very good chance of that," Kiffin said. "We'll make that final decision next week after (the Seattle game)."

Both Bush, who broke his leg at Louisville and underwent two surgeries, and the Raiders expressed optimism Bush would be ready to roll at training camp, which came and went with Bush working out on the sidelines. If Bush is put on injured reserve, he is out for the year. If he starts the season on PUP, the Raiders have a three-week window before the seventh and 10th week to activate him to the 53-man roster. At the end of the 10th week, Bush either has to be on the roster, injured reserve or be cut.
