The Facts:
According to the team's official web site, the Chiefs placed Holmes on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List. By going on the reserve non-football injury list, Holmes could be eligible to return after six games.

The move with Holmes was not a surprise. The three-time Pro Bowl running back sat out the entire 2006 season with an injury to his spinal column and despite being medically cleared has yet to resume practicing with teammates. It's still not clear if this development will lead Holmes to reconsider his comeback attempt.
