The Facts:
Jones, who sat out the final three pre-season games, is believed to be ready to go this week in practice and for the opener, though HC Eric Mangini was noncommittal on that when asked Saturday.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Jones, who ran for more than 2,500 yards the last two seasons with the Bears, pulled a calf muscle after the first pre-season game and has a pre-season body of work of eight carries for 27 yards. And as Post staffer Mark Cannizzaro suggested, the question now is, even if Jones is at or close to 100 percent physically, how sharp will he be after hardly running behind the line in game competition for three of the four pre-season games? Stay tuned. We'll be looking for the answer to that question when the team returns to practice on Wednesday.
