Their run game needs all the help it can get after gaining only 46 yards on 17 carries (2.7 yards a rush) against the Eagles. That’s the second-lowest rushing total in Mike McCarthy’s short tenure as their coach; they ran for only 44 yards in a loss to New England last season. Rookie Brandon Jackson started and was the primary halfback against Philadelphia. He didn’t have much running room and gained only 40 yards on 15 carries (2.7 yards a carry). His long rush was for 9 yards. Rookie DeShawn Wynn played on some passing downs and had one carry for eight yards.
