The Facts:
Although he played on for another series -- and he's thrown a touchdown to Plaxico Burress -- after the fact, Manning gave way to Jared Lorenzen late in the fourth quarter of tonight's game against the Cowboys with what the team is characterizing as a bruised right (throwing) shoulder.

Manning appeared to suffer the injury on a failed two-point conversion attempt earlier in the fourth quarter. Although he didn't appear to have trouble throwing the ball on a subsequesnt series, he was being attended to by a team physician between the series before leaving. Stay tuned. We'll undoubtedly have more on Manning later tonight or Monday.
