The Facts:
Car finished off Carolina's 27-20 win against Atlanta on Sunday when Jake Delhomme had to leave the game with an injured throwing elbow. Carr likely will make his first start in six days at home against Tampa Bay.

While nothing is official -- Delhomme hopes to return this week (and Observer staffer Scott Fowler notes it would be a shame if he couldn't, for he is off to the best statistical start of his career with eight touchdown passes and one interception) -- it's probably Carr's turn. We'll know more about the extent of Delhomme's injury today, but it didn't look good Sunday.
