The Facts:
The Panthers, desperate for help at QB, have turned to one of the NFL's senior citizens. The Panthers brought in Vinny Testaverde on Wednesday, signing the 43-year-old quarterback at undisclosed terms. In a corresponding roster move, Carolina placed Jake Delhomme on injured reserve.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
A 20-year veteran, Testaverde has played in 226 career games -- 208 starts -- with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots. Testaverde certainly will provide experience and leadership to a Carolina team ravaged by injuries at the quarterback position. David Carr is slated to start this week, but a sore back could be problematic. Matt Moore was the only other QB on the roster until Testaverde signed.
