Not long after GM A.J. Smith made the deal with Miami to acquire Chris Chambers, he put Parker on the injured reserve list with a broken right big toe. "It was a late development," Smith said. "One receiver down, one receiver in."

Parker broke his toe during a June mini-camp, and had surgery on it in early August. He hoped to return later this month, but the toe wasn't recovering as expected and Parker was scheduled to get a second opinion this week.
