For the first time since his job security became an issue three weeks ago, Pennington didn't receive a public vote of confidence last night from seething HC Eric Mangini, who put the entire team on notice after a ghastly 38-31 loss to the Bengals. Instead of declaring, "Chad is the starting quarterback," as he has done so many times, Mangini resorted to the time-tested, kiss-of-death: "I'll have to watch the tape."
