Anquan Boldin May Skip Mini-camp Over Contract
(4/25 7:18 PT)

The Facts:
Boldin has been working out on his own so far this offseason, but with agent Drew Rosenhaus still pushing hard for a new contract for his client -- Boldin’s current deal has two years left -- there is a chance the star receiver will not show up for voluntary team organized workouts early next week and possibly skip the team’s mandatory mini-camp next weekend. Asked to clarify Boldin’s position Friday, Rosenhaus said, "I’m not commenting on that."  Reported by the East Valley Tribune

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Boldin never has been comfortable talking about his contract situation, but he's reportedly frustrated that it is still an issue after the Cardinals made public near the end of his rookie year in 2003 that they wanted to update his deal. ... On a more positive note, Boldin did sound eager to begin playing again and insists the knee injury that slowed him last season won't be an issue this year. "I wasn’t 100 percent at all last year," he explained. "Probably the most it was, was 85 (percent healed), which I didn’t have a problem with because I was trying to help my team. ... Now I have my quickness back, my speed back."
