Jags Plan To Rest Fred Taylor Until June
(4/25 10:56 PT)

The Facts:
Taylor won't be allowed back on the field until at least June, head coach Jack Del Rio said on Sunday. The veteran running back had arthroscopic surgery in January to repair damage to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee, an injury that caused Taylor to miss the final two games of the 2004 season. Although Del Rio said Taylor's rehabilitation is on schedule, he ruled out Taylor for the three-day mini-camp that begins on Friday.  Reported by the Florida Times-Union

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Taylor missed the first two weeks of the Jaguars' off-season program to work on his recovery in Miami under the supervision of the doctor who performed his surgery. Asked if Taylor's injury is more serious than just arthroscopic surgery, Del Rio said, "What I can tell you is his rehab is doing well. We expect him to be 100 percent for training camp. ..." Stay tuned.
