Jackson has a bulging disc in his lower back. HC Scott Linehan said there was an outside chance that Jackson could play in the team's next game on Nov. 11 against New Orleans. "It's good timing that we had a bye this week for him," Linehan said. "He certainly wouldn't be able to play this week."

Jackson exited in the first quarter of the Rams' 27-20 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday after experiencing severe back spasms. As News-Democrat staffer Steve Korte, bulging discs usually develop over time, and Linehan said he was unsure if Jackson's newest injury was related to the partially torn groin muscle that kept him sidelined for four games. "They are treatable, though," Linehan said of Jackson's bulging disc. "When you start talking about herniation and all that, it's not that. The prognosis is normally pretty good in getting back in a few weeks. ..." Stay tuned.
