After the Lions drafted players at his positions in the first round of the laset three of the NFL draft, Hakim -- the club's second-leading receiver last season -- was released on Monday. Hakim became expendable after Detroit grabbed Southern California wide receiver Mike Williams as the 10th overall pick.
