David Carr Left Game After Shot To Head
(11/5 8:18 PT)

The Facts:
Carr left the game at the end of the fourth quarter after getting hit in the head, but said he could have returned if the injury had happened earlier in the game. "I was a little dizzy," Carr said. "I tried to get up but I didn't want to fall back down. I just took my time. It's clearing up." Reported by the Gaston Gazette

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The real question might be whether anybody wanted him to come back? Carr has not played well in his brief stint as Carolina's starter, but unless Vinny Testaverde's sore Achilles shows dramatic improvement, a change seems unlikely. Matt Moore doesn't appear to be a viable option. ... For what it's worth, HC John Fox said after the game that Testaverde was never an option. "If there was a super, super emergency we had the ability to run him and get him suited up," Fox said. "But for that thing to heal that wouldn't have been in his or our best interest. ..." Stay tuned. We'll have more on the Panthers' quarterback situation in coming days.
