The Facts:
An NFL source, speaking on condition of anonymity Tuesday night, said Walker has decided to skip today's start to the Packers mini-camp. The initial two days of the first of the team's two off-season mini-camps are voluntary in nature. So, Walker or any of the other veteran players isn't required to participate and can't be reprimanded by the team for skipping. The mandatory portion of the five-day mini-camp starts Friday, when the veterans will be joined on the field by the rookies.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Walker, the Packers' first-round draft pick in 2002, hired superagent Drew Rosenhaus in February. The move fueled speculation that Walker, coming off a monster season that culminated with his first trip to the Pro Bowl, was angling for a new contract. Walker has two years remaining on the contract he signed as a rookie.
