The Facts:
Taylor steadied the Bucs' erratic placekicking at the end of 2004, but he won't get a chance to compete for the job in training camp. Taylor, the former Orlando Predators kicker who took over after Martin Gramatica was sent packing late in the 2004 season, was released by the Bucs Tuesday.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The release of Taylor leaves veteran Matt Bryant and Matt France to battle it out for the place-kicking duties. France is off to a terrific start with the Sea Devils of NFL Europe, having been named Special Teams Player of the Week by making 5 of 6 attempts in Week 1. Coincidentally, Bryant and France battled last preseason for the Giants job that eventually went to Steve Christie.
