Mike Sherman Gives Brett Favre A Break
(4/28 12:18 PT)

The Facts:
When the Packers opened mini-camp on Wednesday, they did so without Favre, who has not missed a mini-camp since he joined the team in 1992. But his absence was not a concern for coach Mike Sherman. "I told Brett not to come," Sherman said. "Just the whole year, everything that's happened, with his wife in rehab with her cancer, I told him to stay home and take care of things with his family." Sherman said he may decide to also let Favre sit out June’s mini-camp.  Reported by PackerNews.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Craig Nall took the majority of the snaps with the first team on Wednesday, and Favre’s absence will give the Packers ample opportunity to look at J.T. O’Sullivan, the team's third quarterback for most of last season. Nall and O’Sullivan will have to share reps with first-round pick Aaron Rodgers when he arrives with the rest of the rookies on Friday.
