Lynch was not able to practice Wednesday due to the sprained ankle he suffered in the win over Miami on Sunday. HC Dick Jauron said he was "not optimistic" Lynch would play vs. the Patriots. Reported by the Buffalo News

Jauron said Lynch's injury is more significant than an "average" ankle sprain, and he could be out for multiple weeks. The Bills are expected to use both rookie Dwayne Wright and veteran Anthony Thomas in Lynch's place.
