The Facts:
HC Mike Holmgren waffled on the Alexander issue because when he was asked who was not practicing this week, he mentioned the RB. The follow-up then was from his comments last Friday, which he re-iterated on Monday, if Alexander cannot practice Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, then he is not going to play.
When reporters tried to clarify that not practicing meant Alexander was not playing, Holmgren said he did not mean to indicate that. "Let's wait and see," he said. the coach also said Alexander is lobbying to get the cast off his wrist. Holmgren said they are not going to allow that, but they are trying to figure out a way to make the cast smaller. ... Meanwhile, Maurice Morris is playing pretty well in Alexander's absence.
