Anthony Thomas Visits Buffalo
(4/29 10:51 PT)

The Facts:
The Bills continue to research possible backup running backs in the event that Travis Henry is traded. Like Henry, Thomas was a second-round draft pick in 2001. He was the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year after gaining 1,183 yards and scoring seven touchdowns on 278 carries. Previously, the Bills met with 10-year veteran Garrison Hearst. Reported by the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Several teams view Thomas, who is no longer in the Bears' plans, as an attractive backup. He is still young with starting experience and at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds, is a punishing runner who also is a good receiver out of the backfield (72 career catches). Thomas said he would still like to be a starter in the NFL but is mostly looking for the best opportunity to play and contribute. He said the Bills are high on his list if they want him.
