Following up on a previous item. ... Williams suffered a sprained right knee after catching a 43-yard pass to set up Detroit's only touchdown in the Lions' 42-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. After missing the next series, Williams came back for the following series, but the knee wouldn't hold up. "We're going to have to see how he is,'' said HC Rod Marinelli, who couldn't offer any other specifics.

Williams had five catches for 85 yards before he left the game and the Lions didn't score after he departed. If Williams can't play against the Dallas Cowboys next week, Mike Furrey (who had seven catches for 57 yards replacing Williams on Sunday) likely would start in his place. ...
