HC Herman Edwards said Johnson, sidelined the past six games with a foot injury, might get on the field this week at Detroit. "We're going to try to limit him some and see what he can do in practice, see where he's at," Edwards said.

Johnson, who worked with the first team last Wednesday, has been slowly doing more and more and could actually go through a full practice this week. ... We'll suggest, however, that this story is of greater interest to Kolby Smith owners than Johnson owners; the latter are unlikely to benefit from Johnson's return but Smith owners might see their guy lose some touches. It's worth watching.
