The Facts:
Whether Russell learned anything on a tough day in Jacksonville or not, we won't know until the season finale when the Raiders host the San Diego Chargers. Russell will get his first start.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Although there has been no official announcement, those who follow the team closely expect Russell, the first pick overall, to make his first NFL start this weekend. Russell replaced Josh McCown with 3:15 left in the first quarter against the Jaguars and went 7-for-23 for 83 yards. He was sacked twice, threw three interceptions and could have had at least two more. As Tribune staffer Jerry McDonald suggeste, he threw late, high and over the middle like the most raw of rookies. And perhaps Raider Nation now undertands why Lane Kiffin has been slow to throw the youngster to the wolves -- and why Russell will be in for another long day if he starts the closer.
