Gonzalez became the all-time leader in receptions among tight ends with 816 during Sunday's contest against the New York Jets. Gonzalez set the new mark with a 17-yard catch from Brody Croyle 1:21 into the third quarter, passing Shannon Sharpe.

The 11-year veteran also eclipsed Sharpe earlier in the season, becoming the all-time leading in touchdown catches at his position with 63 in a 27-20 victory over Cincinnati on October 14. Gonzalez has extended that total to 66 with five TDs this season. Selected 13th overall in 1997, the 31-year-old also extended his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 115 games, which ranks second all-time to Ozzie Newsome (150).
