Young will be day-to-day with a right quadriceps injury in preparation for Sunday's AFC wild card game at San Diego. HC Jeff Fisher on Monday said he was optimistic over the condition of Young, who was hurt in the third quarter of Sunday night's 16-10 playoff-clinching win over the Colts. "We haven't ruled him out. It will be a day-to-day thing," Fisher said.

Asked if he thought Young would have issues with the quad this week, Fisher said, "I don't anticipate that, no." Kerry Collins stepped in for Young and led three scoring drives to send Tennessee into the postseason matchup with the Chargers. Despite Collins' solid effort Fisher wasn't interested in whipping up a controversy. ... "No. We're going to evaluate Vince's situation during the week," Fisher said. "I don't want to get into hypotheticals, so we'll just take it one day at a time."
