The Facts:
The team decided to take a pass on the 41-year-old ex-Jet quarterback, after a brief and seemingly one-sided flirtation in the last few days. Testaverde's agent, Mike Azzarelli, said he had spoken to the Giants over the weekend. But Giants GM Ernie Accorsi said the team has no interest in the Long Island product.

Testaverde seemed to be the most attractive of the veterans currently available, and the Giants might be willing to wait the 3-4 months necessary for recently-signed Jim Miller to recover from hip surgery. Miller could be back for the start of training camp July 28. At the very least, he's expected back before the opener Sept. 11.
