The Facts:
A source has told Yahoo! Sports that Vick has applied to a federal prison drug rehabilitation program, which upon completion could allow him to be released from prison after serving only 12 months of his 23 month sentence.

Nothing has been officially confirmed and it's unclear when Vick would be released, but the Yahoo! reports indicates the hope from those close to him is that Vick will be released in late 2008 and be able to sign with an NFL team in the 2009 offseason. The report also notes that members of Vick's camp continue to hope that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will decline to tack on a lengthy suspension following Vick's release from prison.
