The Dolphins began the interview process Saturday when Cowboys assistant head coach Tony Sparano and new Miami GM Jeff Ireland talked in Dallas. Many believe Sparano is the front-runner for this job because of his connection to Ireland and former Dallas coach Bill Parcells, who was recently named the Dolphins’ executive vice president of football operations. Other reported candidates for the Miami job include former Baltimore defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, who interviewed Sunday for the Ravens’ head-coaching vacancy; Arizona offensive coordinator Todd Haley, and Jacksonville assistant head coach and former Vikings coach Mike Tice. Ryan is scheduled to interview with Miami on Tuesday, according to the Miami Herald.
