The Redskins have agreed to a contract extension with recently acquired wide receiver Santana Moss, the team announced on Wednesday. The team has scheduled a Thursday afternoon press conference to discuss the contract extension. The Redskins acquired Moss on March 10 in a trade that sent unhappy receiver Laveranues Coles to the New York Jets.

told ESPN.com that Moss will report on Wednesday evening to the team and begin participating in the workouts as early as Thursday. The Skins hop Moss can add some spark to a passing attack that averaged 5.36 yards per pass play last season and 10.96 yards per completion. Both those numbers were second-lowest in the league.
