Given the uncertain status of running back Cadillac Williams, who isn't expected to be ready for the start of the 2008 season, it seems the Bucs are taking steps to lock up Earnest Graham.

GM Bruce Allen said in a news conference that he has spoken to Graham's agent and appeared likely to address the player's contract. Graham is under contract through the end of 2008, but his modest $605,000 salary doesn't match his workload (or value) to the Bucs after his meteoric rise in 2007.
