The Facts:
All accounts from the Texans organizations are that Schaub's surgery on his dislocated left shoulder went well and that the rehabilitation process has started. Schaub is expected to need two to three months of rehab, which means he should be at full-go after the draft when the Texans have their OTAs.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
This offseason begins the second-year of the Schaub-era. And as Chronicle staffer Megan Manfull suggests, it's an important one. Schaub showed promise in his first season but it was marred with inconsistency typical of a first-year starter. The injuries leave open room for concern though. He missed five starts with injuries and he also missed portions of four other games. But Manfull contends the arrival of assistant HC Alex Gibbs, known for his work with offensive lines, will aid Schaub greatly.
