The Facts:
McMichael said he has no plans to follow in the footsteps of other NFL players who are hoping for restructured contracts. "What, a holdout?" McMichael asked. "Why would I want to hold out? What does that prove? What is that going to prove to anybody, by holding out? I love playing this game. I don't want to be away from it. That's not even in the back of my mind at all."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
McMichael, entering the fourth and final year of his original contract signed as a rookie in 2002, has talked openly about wanting a contract extension, and agent Drew Rosenhaus has held preliminary discussions with the team. However, McMichael wants the talks to progress in understated fashion and doesn't plan anything like what has been done by fellow Rosenhaus clients Terrell Owens, Javon Walker and Anquan Boldin.
