The Facts:
Dallas HC Wade Phillips has been informed that Jason Garrett will turn down head coaching opportunities with the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens and remain as the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys, sources told ESPN's Ed Werder.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
A source credits owner Jerry Jones with convincing Garrett to remain in Dallas: "This is huge because changing systems right now would have been really tough on Tony [Romo]. ..." According to Profootballtalk.com, league sources say Garrett will earn $3.5 million to $4 million per year as part of a four-year contract to stay with the team. That's clearly the richest deal for any NFL assistant coach, and substantially more than many head coaches -- including Phillips (although Jones could easily fix that). Still, having such a highly-paid assistant -- one whose future job is clearly the top spot -- could make things interesting this year.
