The Facts:
The new tandem of Jim Colletto and Kippy Brown -- promoted to replace OC Mike Martz, who was fired on Jan. 3 -- does not guarantee that Kitna will be the starting quarterback. Kitna started all 32 games the last two seasons under Martz and will go to training camp as the No. 1 quarterback, HC Rod Marinelli said at a press conference Thursday. However, the job will be open to competition.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
"He's part of the squad," Colletto said of Kitna. J.T. O'Sullivan and Dan Orlovsky were the backups in 2007. Drew Stanton, a second-round draft pick from Michigan State, spent the season on injured resere after undergoing knee surgery early in training camp. ... At this point there's no real reason to believe a change is coming, but it will definitely be a situation worth watching through the offseason and in training camp.
