Randy Moss: Accuser Was Slightly Hurt... On Accident
(1/17 10:45 PT)

The Facts:
Moss yesterday acknowledged that a Florida woman who took out a restraining order against him suffered a "slight injury" in his company, but he insisted he did "nothing wrong." Moss' stunning admission came in an exclusive interview with the Herald in which he admitted being with Rachelle Washington, 35, at her Fort Lauderdale residence on Jan. 6, and described what happened as an "accident." Reported by the Boston Herald

"I know what took place. I know what happened," Moss told Herald staffer Karen Guregian in response to a restraining order Washington took out against him on Monday. "What it was, it was a slight injury. All I can say is, it was a slight injury, and as a man, I was sorry. I was sincere. ... All I know is, this woman claimed I committed battery. What I know battery to be is you really physically beat someone up or do something really bad. Me physically hit a woman? No. Never. ..." For what it's worth, the Fort Lauderdale police department has no record of Washington filing a report on the Jan. 6 incident, said a spokeswoman. Police in Fort Lauderdale have no record of calls for service at her residence, where she moved last year. The Broward County Sheriff's office has no record of calls for service to her previous address on the outskirts of Fort Lauderdale. As previously noted, HC Bill Belichick told the Herald last night, saying, "I support Randy 100 percent."
