The Facts:
River, who returned to the practice field Friday, is encouraged his sprained right knee would heal enough for him to go Sunday against the Patriots. "The way I felt Monday morning, I didn't think I'd feel as good as I do right now," Rivers said. "Certainly, it can ease my mind a bit."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As previously reported, HC Norv Turner took a more cautious approach. He listed Rivers as doubtful and said it would be a game time decision. "We want him to be able to move well enough to protect himself," Turner said. According to observers, Rivers, who was hurt last weekend, handled about one-third of the snaps in practice. This despite the fact multiple outlets are reporting Rivers' has a partially torn ACL. Still, those who follow the team closely expect him to make every effort to hit the field. Again, we'll advise those interested to check back in the hour leading up to kickoff for the final decision. Billy Volek will start if Rivers can't go.
