The Facts:
Although OC Bob Bratkowski and his staff have not fully studied the 2007 season, he does know what needs to happen to make the 2008 Bengals more productive. "It's obvious. We have to generate more in the run game," he said of Cincinnati's rush offense, which was ranked 24th with an average of 97.2 yards per game. Only five times in 16 games did the Bengals rush for more than 100 yards.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
While there have been rumors suggesting Rudi Johnson could be a cap casualty, it seems more likely the team will try to keep Johnson and Kenny Watson as their primary backs. And as Enquirer staffer Mark Curnutte pointed out, the Bengals could also get an infusion of talent from their injured reserve list -- especially at halfback, where Chris Perry (ankle, shin) and Kenny Irons (knee) will attempt comebacks in 2008 after not playing a single down in 2007. Johnson, who was slowed by a nagging hamstring most of last season, and Irons are expected to be back to 100 percent by training camp.
