Mularkey Joins Falcons As New OC
(1/25 5:43 PT)

The Facts:
The Falcons named Mike Mularkey offensive coordinator on Friday. The announcement came two days after the Falcons selected former Jaguars defensive coordinator Mike Smith as their new coach. "I am really excited to have Mike join our staff," Smith said. "He is a well-respected coach in this league who has had success for many years at a high level as an offensive coordinator and head coach." Reported by The Sports Ticker

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Mularkey joins Atlanta after spending two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, serving as the tight ends coach last campaign. Before his stint with the Dolphins, Mularkey was coach of the Buffalo Bills for two seasons after a highly successful eight-year stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers -- serving as team's offensive coordinator in his final three campaigns with the team.
