The Facts:
HC Brad Childress had his season wrap-up meeting with the bosses this week and noted many improvements must be made for next season, starting at QB. Jackson is still the favorite for the job, but Childress said the Vikings will examine other candidates that could be available through free agency and trades. "Everybody's going to pull apart their position, and we're going to see if anyone merits a look out there," Childress said.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Childress offered a partial list of the possibilities -- unrestricted free agents like Quinn Gray, Cleo Lemon and Craig Nall; restricted free agents such as Derek Anderson and Jared Lorenzen; and other veterans like Kerry Collins, Daunte Culpepper, Tim Hasselbeck, Jamie Martin and Josh McCown -- and said: "Nothing of that group gets me jumping up and down." Drafting a replacement for Jackson does not appear to be a viable choice because that would send the team back to square one. "It speaks to developing a quarterback. At best, it's a difficult process," Childress said.
