Titans, Justin Gage Discussing New Contract
(2/6 9:46 PT)

The Facts:
The Titans have opened contract talks with Gage, his agent said Tuesday. "There have been some conversations and we'll continue to talk," agent Jim Steiner said. Reported by the Nashville Tennessean

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Last spring, the Titans signed Gage for what turned out to be a bargain-basement one-year deal -- a $400,000 signing bonus and a $600,000 base salary. Because he was the team's most consistent receiver, his price will go up. A year after he caught four passes in just eight games for the Bears, Gage matched Roydell Williams with a team-high 55 receptions and led the Titans with 750 receiving yards. "He would like to stay and if we work out something all parties feel is a fair contract, he will stay," Steiner said.
